Osaka Gas Foundation of International Cultural Exchange, OGFICE, supports students and researchers overseas with the aim of deepening international goodwill and mutual understanding.
In late November 2025, heavy rains and subsequent flooding struck Sumatra Island, Indonesia, causing devastating damage that claimed over 1,000 lives. In Aceh area, where our grantees are located, the scars of the disaster remain significant, and many people still continue to struggle with daily life.
In response to a request from OGFICE’s local grantees, Syiah Kuala University and Jambo Minda Foundation, to consider supporting the education and livelihoods of affected students, OGFICE has provided emergency assistance of $3,500 in February.
OGFICE will continue to support education and research in our grant areas.
