Osaka Gas USA acquires natural gas-fired power plant in Connecticut, US

 Osaka Gas USA, a 100% subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co. Ltd., has agreed to acquire 24.3% ownership of Kleen Energy, a natural gas-fired power plant in Middletown, Connecticut from funds managed by Ares EIF Management, LLC.

 

 Kleen Energy is an approximately 620MW gas-fired facility that has been in operation since July 2011. The facility has a long-term capacity agreement with a local utility.

 

 As laid out in its long-term management vision “Going Forward, Beyond Borders 2030,” Daigas Group* focuses on the US energy market as one of its strategic areas for further growth in its international business segment.
