Osaka Gas believes that technologies serve as the foundation of corporate competitiveness, and considers R&D to be one of the most important elements in the strategy to make a difference.
For this reason, Osaka Gas works actively on R&D and commercialization of new technologies, as presented below.
The central supervisory control and data acquisition system (system name: LUNASOLA) is the system for monitoring and controlling our gas production and supply network extended in the Kinki whole place for 24 consecutive hours for 365 days. Supervising the state of gas supply facility by this system, and utilizing gas holders etc., Osaka Gas supplies city gas to our customers “safely and stably”.
The principal components of the system include the central system, the back-up control center system, and monitoring and control terminals in district pipeline departments.
Real-time monitoring and operation are carried out by cooperating these systems. And they are connected with private radio communication networks.
The two systems constantly and concurrently monitor the facilities. Control is assigned exclusively to either of the two centers.
They share control, control assignment, setting valves and other information.
