Gas Cut-off Function
Refer to "how to reset the microcomputer meter"page for details regarding how to restore the gas supply once it has been cut off and the red warning lamp has started flashing.
1.Automatic gas cut-off when the gas flow is excessively large
If the gas flow becomes excessively large or increases suddenly due to a broken gas line or other trouble, it will be detected by the microcomputer, which will then cut off the gas supply at the meter. (Lamp display A)

2.Automatic cut-off when the gas flow continues unchanged for a long period of time
If the gas flow continues unchanged for a long period of time, it is detected by the microcomputer, which will then cut off the gas supply at the meter. (Lamp display B)

*The "Hour 2" or "Hour 3" is set, "Hour 2" or "Hour 3" will be respectively displayed on the meter. The setting can be changed, so contact your nearest Osaka Gas office if you want to have it changed.
On white meters, times will differ depending on whether or not the seal attached to the bottom face of the meter has a "10" inscription.

Precautions for Use
* If the amount of gas being used changes because an appliance is turned on or off or there is a change in the gas flow rate, the continuous use time is cleared and re-started from zero.
* The gas supply will not be cut off in the case of an appliance that uses a small amount of gas (portable gas burner or the like).
* This function does not prevent the bath water from being overheated or pots from being burned dry.

* For meters that have a "G" or "KG" designation following a size designation on their face
If the gas flow continues unchanged for a long period of time (more than 12 hours), it will be detected by the microcomputer, which will then cut off the gas supply at the meter. (This function can be turned off if you will be cooking with a constant gas flow for more than 12 hours. If the function is turned off, a label will be attached to the meter to notify you of this.)
* Settings can be changed depending on how you are using your gas appliances. To change settings, contact your nearest Osaka Gas office.

3.Automatic cut-off when earthquake is detected by seismoscope
The gas supply is cut off at the meter when the seismic sensor detects a large earthquake (above approximately 200gal, which is equivalent to a magnitude 5 earthquake). (Lamp display C)
4.Automatic cut-off when gas pressure drops
The gas supply is cut off at the meter when the gas pressure drops (below approximately 0.3kPa) due to a problem in the gas line or other trouble.(Lamp display C)

Alarm Function
If there is a minute gas leak that continues for more than 30 days, it will be detected and an alarm(lamp) will be displayed. (Lamp display D) Contact Osaka Gas if the warning lamp flashes.
Optional Function
Alarm-Linked Cut-off (Fee-based service)
The microcomputer is linked to the gas leak alarm and can cut off the gas supply when the alarm is activated. (Lamp display C) To obtain this service, contact your nearest Osaka Gas office.

CAUTION * The microcomputer meter cannot stop accidents such as "gas leakage due to improper operation of gas appliances," "tempura fires," or "exhaust gas poisoning."
* Gas leaks on the primary side (upstream side) of the microcomputer meter cannot be detected.
* Use gas appliances in accordance with their precautions for use.
