Gas equipment whithin your premises

Gas facilities are classified into two types;those of your property and those of our property.


Property of OSAKA GAS	Gas equipment whithin your premises is your property.
The gas meter and the gas equipment outside your premises are our property(except for the light-yellow colored sub-meter).The gas meter is replaced when it has passed its validity date (7 or 10 years) This is in accordance with the Measurement Law.	The gas piping whithin your premises and that incorporated in your building are your property.We repair or replace them, if requestd, at your expense. Before commencing construction work near any gas pipe, contact Osaka Gas. Safety advice will be given.

Points to Note about City Gas

No.1:

Impurities in the natural gas are removed before it is supplied, so no harmful sulfur oxide is generated when it is burnt. Also, a minimum amount of carbon dioxide, which is known to be a primary cause of global warming, is generated, making it a clean and environmentally friendly source of energy.

No.2:

There are no toxic contents - such as carbon monoxide - in natural gas, so in its supplied form it can not poison you. However, large volumes of the gas are potentially explosive and a fire hazard, so care must be taken not to discharge significant amounts of unlit gas.
