Is your housepipe getting old?
The buried portion of the housepipe needs to be replaced after about 20 years.
Housepipe
Gas pipes are like blood vessels as they carry gas to your home. After many years of use, they may have corroded and become a problem in supplying gas to your home. If they are diagnosed problematic, Osaka Gas recommends its customers to replace them for a fee.

Problems conditions of the pipe

Buried sections of the housepipe within your premises may corrode after many years of use.

Corrosion of old pipes may cause gas leaks. Therefore, Osaka Gas recommends a customer to replace them with corrosion resistant pipes.

This will be done for a fee as the pipes within the premises are the property of the customer.

* New pipes use the materials resistant to corrosion.

*For the buried section of the housepipe, the following materials are used depending on the location and the soil conditions.
