@Osaka Gas started to introduce a new telephone system which is composed of
- Hybrid IP-cellular phones, which supports both VoIP on a wireless LAN (IEEE802.11b) for extensions in office and cellular communication outside.
- Customized SIP server (formerly called PBX in the analog age), which can convert both from a extension number to external line number and vice versa, and
- Applications such as phone book, scheduler, presence and unified messaging.
