Objective
Osaka Gas uses discriminative gas detector for inflammable gas leak detection
in order to detect leak and to clear up the cause of leakage early.
Osaka Gas has one thousand several hundred of them, but there are the
following problems currently.
- Cannot measure of the gas concentration and
discriminate of a gas kind simultaneously
- To use six LR14 type dry cells, battery exchange cost is expended and industrial waste is produced.
In order to solve such problems, Osaka Gas developed the new "Discriminative
gas detector " which is superior in operability, power saving and quick
response.
Outline
Discriminative gas detector has two kinds of following catalytic combustion sensors.
- The sensor, which calling the M sensor detects
all inflammable gas
- The sensor, which calling the S sensor detects all inflammable gas except methane
Discriminative gas detector can measure sampling gas by these two sensors
simultaneously, and discriminate the kind of sampling gas by comparing
output.
Discrimination of gas is done by built-in microcomputer, and discrimination
result is displayed.
