Objectives

We have developed a burner, that features energy saving and low radiation heat, and further superior cooking performance such as even heating for uniform cooking and ease of flame control.

Outline

Energy saving is now a challenge in every field. We at Osaka Gas have been working for many years on the development of energy-saving technologies even related to kitchen appliances and equipment, including a challenge to enhance thermal efficiency of conventional burners that was at a level of approximately 30% (for commercial use: the same to be applied to hereinafter). Following this challenge, we developed the gBurner with internal flame holesh by mounting the flame holes inside of the ring that had been mounted outside of it to change the direction of the flame holes from outward to inward. This burner not only enhanced the thermal efficient to approximately 40%, but also reduced flames coming out along with a pan to lower radiation heat, enabling cool cooking.

However, since the gBurner with internal flame holesh causes flames to concentrate at the center of a pan, this burner is apt to cause differences of temperature between the center part of the pan and its surrounding. Furthermore, it is undeniable that the burner has difficulty in heating power control due to longitudinally long flames. In other words, we found a problem that skilled cooks could handle the burner well, but part-timers would be rather difficult to handle it. Under these circumstances, we launched development of a universally user-friendly burner while remaining the advantages such as high efficiency and low radiation heat, thus giving birth to the gNew Super Burner.

    Thermal efficiency is enhanced to 38.2% from 33.7% of conventional burners. Performance with the use of less energy provides great energy-saving effect and reduction of running cost.

  • Low radiation heat
    No spread of flames reduces radiation heat and prevents hands from getting hot. This advantage enables cool and safe cooking and leads to improvement of the@kitchen environment.

  • Even heating

    Evenly heating the bottom of a pan prevents uneven or burned cooking.
    It is also easy for inexperienced staff to cook using this burner.

  • Available for cooking over gentle heat
    Provided with a g10-to-1h TDR (turn-down ratio), which stands for Turn-down Ratio representing the ratio of the maximum combustion of the burner to its minimum combustion. The TDR has been significantly enhanced from g4 or 5 to 1h ratio of conventional burners and the burner with internal flame holes. Cooking on the burner can be performed over gentle heat as well as over high heat.
