Objective
Osaka Gas uses small-size inflammable gas detector for the purpose of leak test for under-grounding gas pipe and indoor gas pipe.
Osaka Gas developed new type small-size inflammable gas detector, which calling "Handy type gas detector", intend to operability improvement, initial cost reduction and running cost reduction.
Outline
The developed detector is ready for operation when the power switch is turned on. No initial adjustment at warming up is required. All of control circuits were designed so as to consume less power. Consequently, few batteries are required. The gas sensor is housed in a detachable cartridge, making it easy to replace and reducing running costs.
- Introduction of an auto-zeroing system to eliminate dial adjustment
- Use of an LED bar to indicate gas concentration
- Drip-proof construction to allow for detection work with minimum care on rainy days
- Introduction of a simplified gas flow rate check system to detect failure of the suction pump, clogging of the filter, and other abnormal conditions
