Upstream Business

Osaka Gas is involved in a number of projects to develop energy resources, particularly for the procurement of LNG, which contribute significantly to profit. Upstream business helps the company to hedge against fluctuations in crude oil prices and exchange rates, ultimately for stabilized profits.

Midstream and Downstream Business

Osaka Gas actively participates in the operation of LNG terminals, pipelines and IPP projects, capitalizing on business opportunities worldwide to secure stable revenue streams. Two recent initiatives concerning retail natural gas are the establishment of City-OG Gas Energy Services Pte. Ltd., a joint venture between City Gas Pte. Ltd. and Osaka Gas Singapore Pte. Ltd. set up in March 2013, and the establishment of Osaka Gas (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in October 2013. Both undertakings involve comprehensive portfolios of innovative solutions.
