

It is the desire of the Osaka Gas Group that children, the future stewards of our Earth, understand energy and learn to live in harmony with nature. That is why we focus on holding energy and environmental education for young people.
Since 1930, Osaka Gas has operated a cooking school. Using the intellectual property and network of this school, since 2008 we have offered food education classes and teaching materials covering topics such as nutrition, food culture, and the 3Rs as we seek to use food as a way to instill knowledge in young people.



- Offering New Value
- We look for every possible opportunity to offer cooking classes and communicate with customers through food and cooking. We also work to provide food education tools by providing textbooks and holding seminars.
- Osaka Gas Food Education
- Frying, boiling, roasting—throughout the ages, humans have, thanks to fire, taken joy in eating and tasting food. Osaka Gas has always believed that it is our mission to pass this important culture on to future generations.


- Energy and Environmental Education
- Integrated study periods at Japanese elementary and junior high schools have been increasingly focusing on topics like energy and environmental issues. In response, the Osaka Gas Group hosts student field trips and visits schools to lead energy and environmental education classes.

- Developing Environmental Technologies
- We are working to develop and disseminate natural gas-fired cogeneration systems, which efficiently utilize waste heat from the power generation process, and cause minimal environmental stress.


- Contribution to Local Communities
- Every year, Osaka Gas hosts private sector training sessions for professionals in the field of education, as well as interns from abroad at our Energy Technology Laboratories.
